Steve is the man behind the Ballingers name and reputation. He established the business in 2000, after more than 14 years’ experience in banking, actuarial firms, superannuation, tax and financial planning.
Our clients come to know and love Steve for his genuine, personal approach; for his knowledge of the financial services industry; and for his successful investments over time. Steve’s focus on helping people achieve their individual financial goals for the future continues to be a recipe for long-term success.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Newcastle, and a Diploma in Financial Planning. He has been a Certified Financial Planner since 1996.
Alex is well on his way to becoming a fully-fledged financial adviser. He first joined the Ballingers team in July 2013 after completing a Bachelor of Commerce from Newcastle University. In 2014, Alex was awarded a Diploma in Financial Planning and is now studying to become a Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
Our paraplanners are here to make your life easier. They take care of the work behind the scenes so that your affairs are managed most efficiently. Their hard work frees Steve up to be available for you when you need him. Working alongside fellow paraplanner Jordan, Alex helps to make sure your expectations for our team of professionals are being met.
Jordan is studying to become a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). As a paraplanner, he is focussed on ensuring you get a great value service that meets your expectations. Jordan holds a Business degree from Southern Cross University and a Diploma in Financial Planning.

Kate joined Ballingers in February 2017 as a trainee paraplanner. Prior to joining Ballingers, Kate worked in a small taxation and accounting firm for two years.
As a trainee paraplanner, Kate supports Steve, Jordan and Alex with the administrative aspects of looking after our clients. Kate is studying for a Bachelor of Commerce with the University of South Australia.
